Effective stress reduction with mindfulness
Workplace stress is increasing. The HSE last year calculated that 49% of all sickness leave is attributable to stress, anxiety and other mental ill health. Presenteeism, the hidden productivity gremlin, has been assessed as accounting for two to three times the cost of absenteeism, and staff turnover is also a high risk in stressed-out, unhappy workplaces.
Simon Michaels from Mindful Work will show how a surprising trial of a ‘short and often’ approach with some busy lawyers, has led to a model of online training that is helping employees reduce stress by an average of 48% and increase productivity by an average of 52%.
